Episode Overview
In this episode, I sat down with my friend and recording artist, Mike Temrowski. You probably know Mike by his stage name, Quinn XCII (pronounced Quinn 92). He has been releasing music for nearly a decade and was discovered by my friend, Jesse Coren, owner of Mutual Friends Music Management.
I was excited to chat with Mike for a few reasons:
1. Because he has an incredibly positive outlook on life and clearly does a ton of self-work
2. I wanted to talk about achieving external success to see what matters
3. I wanted to understand how artists and musicians are moving through the COVID19 situation since quarantine has destroyed the music festival and touring industry (for the time being)
This episode did not disappoint! We speak on my favorite subjects of the soul like gratitude, faith, the importance of perspective, and the positive mindset that led to Quinn XCII (aka Mike’s) success.
My Favorite Quotes:
“That is such a more gratifying experience when you can help people. If one person is affected by my work, then I’ve done my job”
“As long as you have that correct perspective, you may already be ahead of everyone who might have more than you on a material playing field.”
“I’m now married and feel more like an adult”
“On the most cliché things that we discuss: there’s a reason we say the same things, because they’re true.”
“I’m taking this time to work on myself and know that the stuff that I’m missing will come back, but I just want to get back to this everyday life with a stronger and richer appreciation.”
“I’d like to see more people embracing others. We all walk around with our heads down in our phones, not acknowledging those around us.”
“A powerful thing to remember is what we send out is also what we receive. It’s kind of like a boomerang”
“I love being able to just make someone smile.”
